As a leadership student, I am passionate about organizing events because it's so exciting to see things you've worked to create come together and be a success, no matter how small those events may be. I was over the moon when I saw how many people enjoyed the pep rally in the fall, especially the bubblegum- whipped cream game (I came up with that one!)
Outside of leadership, I love to play rugby during the summer months. This year we made it to the playoffs, and although we lost our spot, we played hard and I was so proud of our team. I also achieved the goals I set for myself before the season started. I got a glory run and I (usually) stayed in the position I was meant to be in. Overall, my last season was one to remember.

As expected as this is, my friends and family are the people who affect me the most in life, and push me to do things that I might be hesitant about.
Alejandra is one of the people who pushed me to join leadership, and I'm so glad I did. Watching her plan events and be a part of this amazing team really inspired me. My friends like Mataea and Autumn are people who I can ave fun with, but I can also rely on to put me in my place, and tell me the truth straight up. I admire them not only for their dedication to everything they commit themselves to, but also for their spirits and good-natured personalities. My mom is someone who has such a strong presence in my life, and without her I wouldn't be half the confident person I am today. She taught me life lessons and morals, things that changed my perspective on life. Outside of Leadership and being a student, I really enjoy playing rugby for both our school team and my summer team, the Airdrie Highlanders. Rugby is not just a fun sport for me, but it gives me a sense of belonging and I think I must accredit some of the teamwork skills I have earned to playing this game.
